Jointly organized by Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. and co-organized by VCCI Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., sponsored by Ministry of Posts and Telematics (MPT), The 11th International Exhibition in Vietnam on Telecom, IT and Electronics Products ("Vietnam Telecomp - Electronics 2006") kicked off yesterday (September 13) at HoChiMinh City International and Convention Centre, Vietnam.
At the opening ceremony, honourable guests, including Mr Le Thanh Hai, Member of Politbureau, Secretary of Communist Party of HoChiMinh City, Dr. Pro. DO TRUNG TA, Minister, Ministry of Posts & Telematics (MPT), Mr. NGUYEN HUU TIN, Vice-Chairman, HoChiMinh City People's Committee, Mr. PHAM LONG TRAN, Acting Chairman, Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group - VNPT, Mr. HOANG VAN DUNG, Vice Chairman, VietNam Chamber of Commerce & Industry, etc were present to witness the opening of the largest telecom and ICT trade show in Vietnam. Trade visitors came not only from Vietnam, but also from Australia, Canada, India, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, PR China (including Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan Province), Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, UK, USA, etc.
Mr Stanley Chu, Chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, said, "This year, the show set a record high of over 180 exhibitors coming from 21 countries and regions. The show has occupied a total area of 6,000 sqm. Many exhibitors demonstrate their active participation in the show to promote their new products and technology to the Vietnam market."
To appreciate the effort of sponsors and supporter as well as the creativity of exhibitors, the show organizers presented a number of awards in the opening banquet held yesterday night. Here below were the results:
Best Presentation Award : Ericsson, Motorola and Siemens
Best Booth Design Award : Alcatel, Nokia, NTT DoCoMo and Korea IT Business Women Association
The Most Interactive Booth Award : Huawei, France Telecom and ZTE
Media Favourite Award : VNPT, SPT and NTT DoCoMo
Award of Appreciation : VNPT, MobiFone, SPT and VinaPhone
Held in conjunction with Vietnam Telecomp - Electronics 2006 is a series of forums covering topics of the industry including Mobile Communications, Next Generation Networks, Broadband, etc.. Besides, Ministry of Posts and Telematics (MPT), NTT DoCoMo, VNPT and other operators also shared their views on the topic of Recent & Future Development of ICT Industry in Vietnam yesterday.
