 Jointly organized by Vietnam Posts & Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. and co-organized by VCCI Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., sponsored by Ministry of Posts and Telematics (MPT), The 11th International Exhibition in Vietnam on Telecom, IT and Electronics Products ("Vietnam Telecomp - Electronics 2006") kicks off today at HoChiMinh City International and Convention Centre (Tan Binh District, HoChiMinh City, SR Vietnam). The show also gains support from 7 ministries and industries associations in the fields of telecommunications, IT and electronics. The show opens from today September 13 until September 16, 2006.
A scale hits the highest record
In the eleventh-edition running, Vietnam Telecomp - Electronics 2006 becomes the largest telecommunications and ICT event in Vietnam in recent years. The show sets a record high of over 180 exhibitors coming from 21 countries including Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, PR China, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, USA and Vietnam, occupying a total area of 6,000 sqm. of the exhibition hall.

One of the prominent features of Vietnam Telecomp - Electronics 2006 is the largest international share of exhibitors. It is the only show where you can meet majority international market key players in Vietnam. Strong Pavilions bring many new exhibitors
 Apart from prestigious exhibitors, the current edition attracts about 50% exhibitors who are new to the market. Many first time exhibitors introduce wide array of new products and technologies to Vietnam's market. For example, Japan's leading mobile communications provider, NTT DoCoMo, is the first time participant. Other new exhibitors include a group of handset manufacturers e.g. Bharti, CK, Bandshine, etc. Three international pavilions representing China, Korea and Singapore with over 50 small to medium exhibitors step their first time into the show. Worth to mention in particular that over 25 new companies from China bring new exhibits focal on telecommunications equipment and personnel electronics products demonstrated in Vietnam Telecomp / Electronics 2006.
Distinguished awards presentation
As a token of appreciations to the efforts of participants to the show, the organizers will present Best Presentation Award, Best Booth Design Award, The Most Interactive Booth Award, Media Favourite Award and Award of Appreciation to acknowledge the contribution and support of exhibitors. The awards presentation will be held during the Opening Banquet today evening.
